Tara L. Caden (TLC) is a lover…she loves God, her family and friends, animals, health and fitness, food, art, nature, and making a difference in people’s lives. Tara pours her heart and soul into everything she does. Tara is a lifelong athlete who started training in the gym at the age of 14. She enjoys the thrill of competition and challenging herself, and thus, has played several sports throughout her life. Beach volleyball, cycling, and being a gym rat are her favorites. Tara has always been intrigued by the human body and became a personal trainer and nutrition coach in 1996. Tara’s passion for health and fitness is contagious; she offers compassion, encouragement and motivation that ignites the beast in everyone, and makes training fun. Tara lives a healthy, fit lifestyle all year round and loves to teach people how to do the same, so she now offers lifestyle coaching. She believes in getting healthy from the inside out, by simply feeding your body healthy ingredients and moving it in ways that give you joy. In 2005, she began competing in triathlons, duathlons, half marathons, mudruns, cycling and many 5K and 10K races. At the age of 41, after her fourth baby, Tara took the ultimate challenge, faced all her fears, and competed in her first bikini competition.
She loved the journey and the result of training for shows and went on to compete in nine bikini competitions, winning six first place trophies. When she started competing, she learned how to cook clean by simply using healthy ingredients, and that began her passion of creating healthy treats that she could still indulge in. If you are lucky enough to be her client, friend or neighbor, she’ll show up with new creations for you to try that satisfy all your cravings. Finally, in 2022, Tara’s Luscious Cheats (TLC) was born.
Tara is also a gifted artist (#drawingsbytara) and uses her creativity in all her passions, whether it’s creating amazing food, sculpting bodies, teaching and coaching adults and kids, or drawing portraits. Tara has her bachelor’s degree in psychology, her master’s in cross-cultural education, and her teaching credentials. She is also a proud mother of four awesome kids.
Yes! Almost all of Tara’s Luscious Cheats are vegan.
Kept in the refrigerator, the treats will last a minimum of seven days. Coconut oil changes its consistency with temperature, so when the treats are cold, they will be firm. Heat them up to soften.
Yes, most treats can be frozen without changing the texture. Thaw at room temp.
